About Me

Alexis Malden, ALC Master of Counseling Concentration in Rehabilitation Counseling Alexis has a passion for mental health and helping individuals. Alexis interest in psychology stems from personal experiences, navigating personal relationships and life situations. Alexis is currently an Associate Licensed Counselor under the supervision of Bretrese Stacy, LPC-S. Alexis received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and a graduate degree in Counseling from The Alabama A&M University. Alexis also received her Case Management certification from JBS Mental Health Authority in 2018. Alexis has 9+ years of experience in mental health, behavioral health, substance abuse, intellectual disabilities, and residential treatment settings. Alexis has gained valuable knowledge to be a great asset in the community regarding mental health and self-care. Alexis specializes in working with teens, adolescents, and adults, focusing on a range of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, ODD, conduct disorder, history of sexual abuse, sexually reactive behaviors, and mood disorder. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in Reality and Person-centered therapy with an integration of cognitive and dialectical behavioral techniques to assist clients with navigating challenges to connect with their most authentic self.
